kontinkieli

Finnish

noun
Definitions
  • A wordplay resembling pig Latin. Kontinkieli is constructed in two phases so that in the first phase the word kontti is thought to be added after each word in a sentence and then the first one or two letters in the original word are interchanged with the letters "ko" in kontti. As an example hevonen (horse) -> hevonen-kontti (intermediate form) -> kovonen-hentti (kontinkieli-form).
